Reno native, Tom Gordon is a record producer, engineer, and educator.
Client list includes: Ozzy Osbourne, Dr. Dre, Whitesnake, Boyz II Men, The Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Collective Soul, Bruce Dickenson (Iron Maiden), Buddy Miles (Hendrix), Laurie Anderson, Leonard Nimoy, Dillinger Escape Plan, E40, Shock G (Digital Underground), Doug E Fresh, and even Milli Vanilli's come-back album where they actually sang! Classical clients include Eric Whitacre, Edgar Meyer & the Russian National Orchestra.

Gordon has been making records for 35 years with five Platinum and two Gold-selling albums, one Emmy, one 3M Visionary Award, co-produced/engineered 11 Whitesnake Box sets (Rhino/WB), and produced/engineered over 250 independent albums and EPs of local and regional artists. He has also done audio post for several independent films. He is currently chief engineer of Imirage Sound Lab, is the former chief engineer at Whitesnake’s Hook City Studio and Granny's House/Sierra Sonics Recording Mansion, and is the owner of Inspired Amateur Productions as a freelance sound engineer and consultant for clients like Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Doug Clifford of Creedence Clearwater, the Cordillera Film Festival, and dozens of regional artists.
Gordon also stage-managed the "Black Potatoe Music Festival" in New Jersey for nearly 20 years where he worked with Honeyboy Edwards (Robert Johnson), Andy Summers (The Police), Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel), Kevin Hearn (Barenaked Ladies), Bernie Worrell (P-Funk/Talking Heads), and many more.
Gordon has a degree in recording sciences from the University of Southern California and has been a lecturer of recording arts at University of Nevada, Reno since 2007. He is also a session drummer and percussionist who has played and recorded for several area bands and theater productions for decades.
He has produced charity albums benefiting Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, AIDS research, the Washoe County School District Music Program and the Native Forward Scholars Fund.
